Leonov

En massiv vegg av lyd. Harmoniene i kaoset. Flygendegitarer. En desperat kvinnestemme. Lys i mørket. Røsten i ødemarken. Dette. Er. Leonov.

Amassive wall of sound. Harmony and chaos. Flying guitars. A desperate bright voice. Light in the darkness. The voice from the wilderness.

This. Is. Leonov.

The band, named after the Russian astronaut Alexei Leonov, the first man to conduct a spacewalk, is a post-rock band from Oslo. The astronaut’s spacewalk may be seen as a parallel to Leonov's music, as they attempt to capture both the claustrophobic and liberating sides of the huge and dark space.

Since their gig at SÅ2012 the band have gained more experience and through several concerts, and not to mention the release of the self-titled album Leonov (Spotify/iTunes/Wimp) which has received good reviews from critics. The song Tempest was picked to be the Weekly Urørt (NRK Urørt), which probably says something about the quality of Leonov’s music.

We’re absolutelty thrilled to have them on board – and looking forward to a musical exploration at SÅ2014!
